2nd International Symposium Agrobiodiversity along the value chain 20 – 22 May 2025 in Lleida, Spain

From the 20th to the 22th of May 2025, CROPDIVA and LEGENDARY welcome guests from all over the world for the second international symposium ‘Agrobiodiversity along the value chain’. The symposium will discuss the general topic of agrobiodiversity along the value chain.

The programme will include a general session with invited speakers and several sessions with submitted abstracts related to the following subjects:

• Genetics and breeding: How they shape agrobiodiversity?
• The impact of cropping systems on agrobiodiversity
• Food and feed technology, drivers of change on agrobiodiversity
• Agrobiodiversity: the challenges and opportunities for socio-economic sciences and for systemic approaches
• Valuing ecosystem services related to agrobiodiversity

Invited speakers:

  • Dr. Christian Schöb ((University Rey Juan Carlos, Spain): ‘Ecological mechanisms underlying the benefits of diversity in annual crop systems’
  • Prof. dr. Roberto Papa (Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy): ‘Agrobiodiversity and Genetics’
  • Ms.Teresa Borelli (Alliance Bioversity-CIAT, Italy): ‘Agrobiodiversity and Value Chains’
